Happy Boy

Getting ready for Christmas!!!

Here is Carson wearing the Santa outfit Grandma Dallof bought for him:)
At Carson's last appointment he weighed 12 pounds!! He is growing so fast! He has the sweetest personality and it develops more every day. He is still sleeping through the night (thank goodness) and through much of the day lately too.
We are so excited for his first Christmas. Its funny how the season seems more meaningful with him around. Every time I hear someone talk about baby Jesus I feel so thankful for my baby boy and wonder how Mary must have felt holding her little child who she knew was divine. I love this season and couldn't be happier to spend it with Adam and our new addition:)

Adam's Project

Well this has been my recent project. I have been wanting to make something for a while, but couldn't think of anything. I was online the other day and saw these plans to make a poker table. I really wanted to make it so I put my own spin on it and off I went. This is not complete yet, but the last picture is what it will look like kind of. There will be a "racetrack" around the blue playing surface and then the base will fold up for storage. It has been fun to make and I can't wait to have a poker night with it!

Prego Pic

Well, I finally got a picture of my prego belly. I know I feel like I am huge, but some people say I'm still small. Today I am 32 weeks and 4 days (but who's counting, right?). I've been wearing Adam's clothes now for about a month cuz none of mine fit:)
We still haven't decided on a name. We both liked Boston for a while and then Adam started leaning towards Caleb. Now I just think we are waiting to see him before we decide for sure.

Baby moves around a lot and keeps me on my toes. Actually he keeps me laying down because he's in my ribs a lot and when that starts to ache laying down is the only thing that relieves it:) Also I've been one of those lucky ladies that has developed gestational diabetes so I get to control that with changing my diet. I basically just have to count carbs, but its hard to get used to. There's only so many cucumbers and lettuce (both have 0 carbs) a girl can handle. :) Oh and I get to prick my fingers 4 times a day to check my blood sugars. I don't mind too much. Just part of the drill now and my baby boy is worth it.

The other pic is just of some cute little outfits we got today. We are trying to slowly get ready for the arrival of our little boy, but there is still a long way to go...

Our Baby Boy!!!

Well, I think its time for another post. So here it goes...

Adam and I are pregnant!! We just found out last week that we are having a boy and he is due the first week of October:) I am feeling our little wiggle worm move around all the time now and Adam has felt him a few times as well. I think that's gotta be one of the best feelings I've experienced. We have some good pictures from the ultrasound, so I picked out the three that are easiest to see him in.
The first is pretty obvious...its his profile. Doesn't he just look perfect?! (I'm biased already:))
The second is looking down on his face. You can see his arm up by his head and even some little fingers, and also his round belly.
The third is the pic where we can tell he's a boy. I won't give too much detail except to say that you are looking at him from below.
We are so excited!! I am going to be better at updating our blog now that we have some more excitement in our lives. We are sure enjoying the anticipation of the arrival of Baby Rogers:)

December Already?

Wow, a lot of time has gone by. I can't believe that this year is winding down so quickly. It has been a crazy year and I'm not going to be sad to start a fresh new one.

Last month Adam and I celebrated our 1 year anniversary!! We were planning on going to Park City for the day (that's where we spent our honeymoon), but ended up staying in the valley. We both took the day off and had a lot of fun spending the day together. :) I love you babe!!!

Both Adam and I are enjoying our jobs. Our insurance kicks in on January 1st so it will be great to feel more secure.

Well, we went to "The Forgotten Carols" with Scott, DeAnne, Jonathan and Zach yesterday and between that and the fact that we finally got some snow, its starting to feel like Christmas. (I guess its a good thing seeing that its only 16 days away.) I really am grateful for this time of year. I love the opportunity to think of ways to serve others, give gifts (even if they are just homemade) and most importantly, think about our Savior and His life. I know that Christ is our Savior and Redeemer and He personally knows each of us. Its a wonderful feeling to know that and I hope that I (and each of us) will be able to help spread that feeling to others throughout this Christmas season!!

Another New Job

Random Picture I know, but oh well.

We are very excited (and a bit relieved) because Adam starts his new job tomorrow! He will be working for Cyprus Credit Union. Training will be two weeks, and we're not sure if after that he will be working at the branch in Jordan Landing or the one in Taylorsville. They will be letting him know in the next few days though. We are hoping for the Taylorsville branch because then it will be closer to home and it will be full-time as opposed to part-time. It is going to be a good job either way though so we are stoked!

I am still enjoying my job and love the people I work with. The only downside to my job is that it is downtown and it is a 30 min commute each way. But I have been listening to books on cd so I guess it makes the drive not only bearable, but enjoyable as well.
