Wow, a lot of time has gone by. I can't believe that this year is winding down so quickly. It has been a crazy year and I'm not going to be sad to start a fresh new one.
Last month Adam and I celebrated our 1 year anniversary!! We were planning on going to Park City for the day (that's where we spent our honeymoon), but ended up staying in the valley. We both took the day off and had a lot of fun spending the day together. :) I love you babe!!!
Both Adam and I are enjoying our jobs. Our insurance kicks in on January 1st so it will be great to feel more secure.
Well, we went to "The Forgotten Carols" with Scott, DeAnne, Jonathan and Zach yesterday and between that and the fact that we finally got some snow, its starting to feel like Christmas. (I guess its a good thing seeing that its only 16 days away.) I really am grateful for this time of year. I love the opportunity to think of ways to serve others, give gifts (even if they are just homemade) and most importantly, think about our Savior and His life. I know that Christ is our Savior and Redeemer and He personally knows each of us. Its a wonderful feeling to know that and I hope that I (and each of us) will be able to help spread that feeling to others throughout this Christmas season!!

Another New Job
Random Picture I know, but oh well.
We are very excited (and a bit relieved) because Adam starts his new job tomorrow! He will be working for Cyprus Credit Union. Training will be two weeks, and we're not sure if after that he will be working at the branch in Jordan Landing or the one in Taylorsville. They will be letting him know in the next few days though. We are hoping for the Taylorsville branch because then it will be closer to home and it will be full-time as opposed to part-time. It is going to be a good job either way though so we are stoked!
I am still enjoying my job and love the people I work with. The only downside to my job is that it is downtown and it is a 30 min commute each way. But I have been listening to books on cd so I guess it makes the drive not only bearable, but enjoyable as well.

Its been a couple of weeks, so I guess I should update some info. First of all, I HAVE A NEW JOB! It is very different from my old convergys job in the fact that I actually like it. That's always a positive. I work for Morgan Jewlers in their corporate office in downtown Salt Lake. Basically what I do is quality control for the merchandise that comes in from different vendors. I basically get to play with diamonds all day, and as we all know, "diamonds are a girls best friend."
Well this weekend was just wonderful for me. It was both Adam's and my mission reunions on Friday, and we actually made it to both of them! It was good to visit with old companions and get news on members and investigators in both Detroit and Calgary!
On Saturday night I went out to dinner with a couple of members (one being Caleb from the Cranston ward that I taught while I served in the ward) and two of my companions. It was so good to see them all and to catch up. I've been really bad and keeping in touch with a lot of the people from my mission so this alieviated some of my guilt for being a horrible corispondant:)
Then of course it was conference weekend. I think the talk that I loved the most (for now, it always changes just like my favorite scripture always changes) was Elder Worthlin's. He advised all of us to laugh.
In other news, our home computer got a virus and is currently out of commission, so its difficult to do all the day to day stuff that you rely on a computer for. Obviously. Hopefully we will get it fixed soon, but who knows when it will actually happen?

Job Hunting
Well, the search is on! Both Adam and I have resigned/quit Convergys and we are ready for something new. Combined we have had 6 interviews in the last week for three different jobs. They went really well and we will find out by the beginning of next week whether we get them or not. Cross your fingers!!!

The fair!!
Yesterday we went to the fair! I always love the fair. I love every bit of it. I think each year my favorite things are the animal shows they have and looking at all the booths and kiosks. Plus there's the huge cows and the little ponies, the rides that are always rediculously priced, the food that lets face it you can't get anywhere else (deep fried peanut butter sandwiches?), or to put it in Templton's words, "a veritable smorgasbord."
Then we also went to the rodeo grounds. They didn't have an actual rodeo going on, but they were having competitions with coyboys on horses rounding up 3 specific cows out of a herd of about 30. I actually really enjoyed it! We stayed for several rounds of the competition and got to experience a bit of the good ol' american cowboy life (the sights, the SMELLS, the boots, the hats the bandana's, spurs...etc). It was great!

Happy birthday Dad!! 60 years old and still a goofball! I love you daddy!
Well, we are halfway through our training at convergys. It is a good job, but we are both going to start looking for new jobs. So if you have any suggestions or know of any openings, we are open to them. I know our page is pretty empty right now, but we are working on getting pictures and things together so we can get things rolling. :)

September 1,2008
As this is our first entry I'll just summarize what is going on in our lives right now. We just moved up to Murray on August 15 and we are still adjusting to our new apartment. But we love it! Its nice and spacious, and it will feel like home soon. Right now both Adam and I are working at Convergys. Our schedule is crazy right now; we are working 3:30-midnight. The nice thing about it is that we get to work together:) (also that schedule will only last for two more weeks). Also, a year ago today is when Adam proposed. I can't believe its been a year!!!
